Your Mission

The Boilermaker fabricates, assembles, and repairs metal structures used in shipbuilding and ship repair. They shape metal sheets and profiles into parts that meet design specifications, ensuring strength, precision, and compliance with safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, sketches, and isometric drawings.
  • Mark out, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets and profiles.
  • Assemble components by welding, riveting, bolting, or bonding.
  • Check dimensional and geometric conformity of parts.
  • Perform finishing operations (deburring, grinding, fitting).
  • Participate in assembling and dismantling metal structures onboard or in workshops.
  • Follow safety instructions and apply HSE procedures.

Working Conditions

  • Work both in workshops and on-site (onboard, dock, or dry dock).
  • Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and risks of cuts or burns.
  • Requires good physical condition and manual precision.
  • Possible shift work or urgent interventions.
  • Personal protective equipment provided by the company.

Profile Required

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of metal marking, shaping, and forming techniques.
  • Mastery of assembly methods (welding, riveting, bolting).
  • Ability to use cutting, bending, and rolling tools.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting industrial blueprints and diagrams.

Personal Qualities:

  • Precision and attention to detail.
  • Team spirit and versatility.
  • Methodical and well-organized.
  • Physical endurance and adaptability.

Required Training:

  • CAP / BEP in boilermaking, metal structures, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the naval or industrial sector preferred.

  • Compliance with production deadlines.
  • Reliability and safety of assembled structures.
  • Strict adherence to HSE standards.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
